Best Donkey Ever

Oil on Panel 12 x 9 x 7/8 Private Collection

Bonding is natural in team sports, particularly when your teammate is an unpredictable 500-pound burro who has the behaviors of a four-year old—energetic, easily distracted, and not necessarily obedient. A timely finish, or finish at all, depends partly on the racer’s ability to motivate his or her burro but mostly it depends on what your burro decides to do—or not. Whether you finish first place or last ass, it is often happy hugs at the finish line because any day on the course with your burro is a good day. Clearly, Erin Farrow thinks Holly is the best donkey ever.
